Kicking off the three-day United States Racing Association (USRA) sanctioned weekend, Jason Hughes visited Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) on Thursday evening for the 26th annual Show-Me 100. With a stout field of 67 Open Wheel Modifieds registered in for action, Jason passed five cars in his heat race reeling in a 3rd place finish. Earning the 11th-starting position for the opening night feature, Hughes gained seven spots to place 4th behind Darron Fuqua, Mike Striegel, and Tyler Wolff with Chase Domer coming in 5th.

On Friday evening after starting the night off with a heat race victory, Jason was an early retiree from the feature.

For the 30-lap finale on Saturday night, Hughes reeled in a 3rd place finish behind Darron Fuqua and R.C. Whitwell with Lance Town and Joe Duvall completing the Top-5 finishers.

After Mother Nature wiped out Friday’s opener at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas), Jason Hughes headed to Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) on Saturday night for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned contest. In a field of 43 cars, Hughes passed four cars in his heat race to place 3rd. Earning the 11th-starting position for the opening night feature, Jason jumped up six spots in the 40-lapper reeling in a 5th place finish behind Zack VanderBeek, Rodney Sanders, Jake O’Neil, and Terry Phillips.
