Attending the rescheduled the 2nd annual Chubbs Performance Midweek Madness presented by Victory Door Systems, Jason Hughes headed to Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) on Wednesday night for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned contest. Improving four positions in his heat, Jason scored a runner-up finish behind Jake Timm locking him into the 2nd-starting spot for A-Main. With $3,000 on the line, Hughes dropped one position in the 40-lapper posting a 3rd place finish behind Jake Timm and Zack VanderBeek with Shane Sabraski and Jacob Blees completing the Top 5 finishers.

On Thursday night Hughes traveled to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) for the Prelude to The Modified Masters. With 59 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand, Jason logged a 4th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 4 into the show, Hughes charged to a 15-lap consolation win locking him into the 14th-starting position for the feature. Breaking into the Top 10, Jason Hughes advanced through the field seven spots to place 7th.

The following night drawing 71 cars for two rounds of heat races, Jason improved four positions in his first heat to place 5th. Starting in 2nd for his second heat, Hughes held his spot for all 12-laps registering a runner-up finish behind Zack VanderBeek.

Sitting 14th overall in passing points, Jason transferred into the B-Main on Saturday for his final shot at the $50,000-to-win A-Main. Sending the Top 14 cars into the show, Hughes notched a 2nd place spot behind Lucas Schott earning him the 14th-starting position for the feature.

After completing the first 24-laps on Saturday evening, Mother Nature postponed the final 46 circuits to Sunday morning. Losing three positions in the remaining distance of the feature, Jason Hughes logged a 17th place outing.

Jason Hughes was one of 27 cars signed in at Caney Valley Speedway (Caney Valley, Kansas) on Tuesday evening for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) MSD Central Region presented by Summit Racing Equipment. Gaining one spot in his heat race, Jason logged a 6th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 5 into the opening night feature, Hughes edged his way with a 4th place outing. Starting in 19th for the Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Jason slipped back to a 24th place finish.

The following night Hughes headed to 81 Speedway (Park City, Kansas) for the 6th annual Summit “Showdown in the Playground”. Passing three cars in his Simpson Performance Products heat, Jason scored a 3rd place spot earning him the 10th starting spot for the feature. With $3,000 on the line, Jason Hughes fell back to a 24th place outing in the 40-lap affair.
