- Competing in the Grant Junghans Memorial weekend, Jason Hughes traveled to Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) on Thursday night for the opening night Deuces Wild event. Passing six cars in his heat, Hughes scored a 3rd place finish earning him a spot into one of the two opening night $1,500-to-win features. Starting in 8th, Jason worked his way through the field six positions notching a runner-up finish behind Aaron Marrant, with Chase Junghans, Stormy Scott, and Lucas Schott completing the Top 5.

Locked into the 8-lap Deuces Dash, Jason gained four more positions scoring a 4th place spot.

On Friday night for the Grant Junghans Memorial, Jason charged through the field in his heat race nine positions landing a 3rd place spot. Rolling off 8th for the $10,002-to-win A-Main, Hughes worked his way through the field six positons registering a runner-up finish behind Lucas Schott with Rodney Sanders, Dereck Ramirez, and Cade Dillard completing the Top 5 finishers. Closing out the weekend, Jason stopped at Salina Highbanks Speedway (Salina, Oklahoma) on Saturday for the final night of the 4th Annual Sooner Showdown. Looking to defend his title from a year ago, Jason was battling for the top spot late in the event. Getting caught up with another competitor on the last lap, Hughes landed a runner-up finish in the A-Main.
