2May 23rd, 2015 - Jason Hughes made the trip to Crawford County Speedway (Denison, Iowa) on Thursday for a United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) event. With a field of 31 signed up for a chance at the $3,000 paycheck, Jason managed to move up from 8th to 3rd in his heat registering him for a spot in the Casey’s General Stores A-Main. The feature event didn’t have much difference in results, as Jason moved up from his 8th place starting position to a solid 3rd place finish the A-Main.

The next night the USMTS series brought all the racers to Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota). Via the 31 entries registered for the event, Jason managed to capture a heat victory from 3rd place. Starting in 7th for the 40-lap A-main, Jason recorded a 23rd place finish.

The third stop on the busy Memorial Day weekend was Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for another USMTS event. With out stout field of 47 entries, Jason finished 5th in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. After starting in 7th, Jason dropped back to register a 16th place finish ending his night early.

May 16th, 2015 - On Thursday night Rice Lake Speedway was rained out for its USMTS event. After his fourth rainout in a row Jason's next race on the schedule was going to be 14th Annual Port-a-Cool Texas World Dirt Track Nationals at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth Texas.

After his first race in almost two weeks to due rain, Jason won his dash, which earned him pole position in the A-Main event. When the race came to an end Jason ended with a 24th spot finish.

2May 2nd, 2015 - Mother Nature finally released her grip of the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) and allowed its competitors to return to action over the weekend with a pair of $3,000-to-win events in the state of MissouriFriday evening found thirty-five competitors converging on Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas). Jason's night might have started on a slow note, but he kicked things into gear for the 30 lap feature. After failing to qualify for the feature via heat race action, Jason finished 4th in his b-main to lock into the 20th starting spot for the finale. He enjoyed a stellar run in the feature as he advanced seventeen spots on his way to a 3rd place finish behind race winner, Terry Phillips, and Rodney Sanders.

Saturday night took the team to Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Missouri), where thirty-seven warriors rolled into battle. A 6th to 3rd run in heat race competition positioned Jason starting 9th on the feature grid. Unfortunately mechanical issues arose on lap 4, forcing Hughes to retire to a 21st place finish.
