- On Friday night Jason Hughes kicked off the busy Memorial Day Weekend at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wisconsin) for the second round of the RHRSwag.com Northern Region presented by Summit Racing Equipment. With 36 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries registered in for action, Jason charged through the field six positions in his heat race posting a 2nd place finish behind Zack VanderBeek locking him into the 6th-starting spot for the feature. Losing two spots in the 40-lapper, Hughes dropped back to an 8th place outing.

Saturday night brought Jason to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the 15th annual A&A Electric Southern Minnesota Spring Challenge. Improving three positions in his heat race, Jason scored a 3rd place finish positioning him 10th on the starting gird for the feature. Working his way into a podium spot, Hughes charged through the field eight positions to place 2nd behind Cade Dillard with Zack VanderBeek, Jake Timm, and R.C. Whitwell completing the Top 5 finishers.

Closing out the three-day weekend with the USMTS series, Jason was one of 24 cars signed in at Upper Iowa Speedway (Decorah, Iowa) on Sunday for the 10th annual Nordic Nationals presented by Weis GMC Buick. Gaining six positions in his heat race, Hughes posted a runner-up spot behind Tyler Wolff locking him on the front row for the feature. Overtaking race leader Tyler Wolff on the lap 2, Jason Hughes led the remaining 39 laps en route to his fifth victory on the season over Zack VanderBeek, Cade Dillard, Ryan Gustin, and Stormy Scott. - With Mother Nature winning the first night of the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) RHRSwag.com Northern Region presented by Summit Racing Equipment on Thursday, Jason Hughes headed to I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota) on Friday for the 3rd Annual Summersota Nationals presented by Barry Construction. Passing six cars in his 8-lap heat race, Jason reeled in a 3rd place finish positioning him 8th on the starting grid for the feature. Pacing his way to the front, Hughes overtook race-leader Jacob Blees on lap 25 en route to his fourth victory on the season over Zack VanderBeek, Johnny Scott, Cade Dillard, and Stormy Scott.

- Wrapping up the United States Modified Touring Series (USTMS) Summit Racing Southern Region presented by Production Jars, Jason Hughes traveled to Heart O’ Texas Speedway (Elm Mott, Texas) on Wednesday for the 8th annual Texas Spring Nationals. Following a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Jason secured his spot into the opening night feature with a consolation win. Starting in 13th, Hughes improved four positions reeling in a 9th place finish.

After Mother Nature cancelled Thursday’s event, Jason made the trip to Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale, Texas) on Friday for the 3rd annual Summit Showdown. Holding his starting spot in his heat race, Hughes landed a 2nd place finish behind Travis Saurer locking him into the 9th-starting spot for the feature. Working his way into a podium position, Jason Hughes advanced six spots in the 40-lapper scoring a 3rd place finish behind Zack VanderBeek and Chris Brown with Ryan Gustin and R.C. Whitwell rounding out the Top 5.
 
On Saturday night in a field of 35 cars at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the Summit Spring Modified Nationals, Jason placed 9th in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 5 into the feature, Hughes logged an 11th place outing forcing him to rely on a provisional into the A-Main. Starting in 23rd, Jason Hughes held his spot for all 35-laps retiring a 23rd place outing.

- Back with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Summit Racing Equipment Southern Region presented by Production Jars, Jason Hughes traveled to Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) on Thursday night. Passing five cars in his 8-lap heat, Hughes reeled in a 3rd place finish earning him the 7th-starting spot for the opening night A-Main. Working his way into the Top 5 finish, Jason improved three positions to place 4th behind Stormy Scott, Cade Dillard, and Zack VanderBeek with R.C. Whitwell coming in 5th.

The following night in a field of 32 cars at West Texas Raceway (Lubbock, Texas) , Jason started the night off with a heat race win locking him into the 5th-starting position for the feature. Wrapping up the USMTS Summit Racing Southern Region presented by Production Jars on Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Texas), Jason Hughes was one 30 cars signed in for the 8th annual Amarillo Ambush. Jumping up two positons in his heat race, Jason landed a 2nd place spot behind Austin Bonner positioning him on the pole for the A-Main. Losing seven positions in the 40-lap affair, Jason Hughes logged an 8th place outing.
