Returning on the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental, Jason Hughes was one of sixty-five entries signed in for the 5th Annual Cajun Clash at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana). Improving seven spots in his heat on Thursday night, Hughes scored a runner-up finish behind Terry Phillips. Coming from 8th in feature, Jason worked his way into a podium finish behind Stormy Scott and Terry Phillips with Rodney Sanders and Jamie Burford rounding out the top five.

Starting in 5th in his heat on Friday night, Jason improved three spots scoring a runner-up finish behind George Egbert IV. Earning a front row starting position for the feature, Hughes jumped to the lead on the drop of the green flag. Leading the first 24 laps, Jason Hughes fell back to a 2nd place finish in the 40-lapper behind Ryan Gustin with Rodney Sanders, Chris Brown, and Kyle Strickler rounding out the top five.

Competing in the final night of the 5th Annual Cajun Clash, Jason scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Casey Arneson but had to transfer into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Starting alongside Kenny Gaddis on the front row, Hughes scored a 15-lap consolation win setting him up with a 13th place starting position for the $4,000-to-win feature. Traveling to Heart O’ Texas Speedway (Elm Mott, Texas), Jason Hughes was one of forty-seven cars signed in on Thursday for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing and Rental. Competing in night one of the 7th Annual Day Motor Sports Texas Spring Nationals, Jason scored a heat race victory transferring him into the A-Main with a 6th place starting spot. Battling for a $2,000 payday, Hughes gained three spots notching a podium finish behind Zack VanderBeek and Cade Dillard with Ryan Gustin and Austin Arneson rounding out the top five.

Starting on the 4th row of his heat on Friday night, Jason gained five positions in the 8-lap event scoring a 3rd place finish. Earning a 9th place starting spot for the feature, Hughes worked his way into the top five within the first 10 laps. Battling for a $3,000 paycheck, Jason Hughes captured a runner-up finish behind Ryan Gustin with Zack VanderBeek, Dereck Ramirez, and Cade Dillard rounding out the top five.

On Saturday night to wrap up the USMTS weekend at Heart O’ Texas Speedway, Jason recorded a 5th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Scoring a 3rd place finish in his consolation event, Hughes was slated to start 21st for the feature. Working his way through the field twelve positons, Jason Hughes notched a 9th place outing.

- Making his 2016 debut, Jason Hughes headed to Shady Oaks Speedway (Goliad, Texas) on Thursday night for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) opener. Drawing thirty entries, Hughes earned a 6th row starting spot for the feature after placing 3rd in his heat. Paying $2,000 to the winner, Jason worked his way to the front of the pack by the end of the 20-lap affair. Giving Rodney Sanders a battle with 2-laps remaining, Jason Hughes scored a 2nd place finish behind Sanders with Cade Dillard, Joe Duvall, and Ben Kates rounding out the top five.

On Friday night for the second night of USMTS action, Jason Hughes fell short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place outing. Transferring the top five out of the B-Main, Hughes cruised to 10-lap consolation win. Starting on the 7th row for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Jason advanced seven spots in the 35-lapper notching a 6th place finish.

Returning for the final night of the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental at Shady Oaks Speedway (Goliad, Texas), Jason Hughes improved three spots in his heat scoring a 3rd place finish. Earning a 8th place starting spot for the 40-lap A-Main, Jason was up to 3rd by end of the first ten laps. After the top two competitors made contact, Hughes took over the lead with 29 laps remaining.
