April 19th, 2014 - Congrats to Hughes Race Cars customer, Gunner Martin, who raced to the Open Wheel Modified feature win at Valley Speedway (Grain Valley, Missouri) on Saturday night in his #75 Hughes Chassis.

1April 12th, 2014 - Jason Hughes made the trek to Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) on Friday evening for the opening round of a tripleheader weekend with the USMTS Open Wheel Modifieds. Thirty-two competitors registered for battle in the event, and struggles in the heat race left Hughes to run a b-main. A charge from tenth to third in the b-main positioned him starting seventeenth in the $2,000-to-win finale. During the course of the 30 lap feature, Jason drove by nine other competitors en route to a solid eighth place finish in the final rundown.

Saturday night found the team pitted at Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Oklahoma) as Jason went into battle against a talent-laden field of thirty-five competitors. Hughes drew the fifth starting spot for the 30 lap main event after he picked up the win in his heat race. In the feature, Hughes raced amongst the top five for much of the event before settling into a sixth place finish.

1April 5th, 2014 - Jason Hughes took his #12 Super Late Model into battle over the weekend for a tiple header of $10,000-to-win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events.

Unfortunately the weekend started with a rainout at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Friday night. Saturday evening found the team pitted at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) as fifty-one entries were on hand for battle. Hughes failed to make the transfer into the main event via preliminary action and was forced to use an LOLMDS Emergency Provisional to lock into the 50 lap feature. During the course of the main event, Jason blasted through the field from his 27th starting spot to a fourteenth place finish in the final rundown. Sunday's scheduled event at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) was also rained out.

Jason's performance moved him up to 13th in the current series point standings, for complete standings and results from the event, visit www.LucasDirt.com
